Many resorts offer tennis courts for the use of their guests and most are equipped for evening play. There are also many public courts available. Playing tennis at altitude can be strenuous. Give your body plenty of time to adjust to the higher elevation, drink lots of water and wear sunscreen as the sun's rays are much more intense here than at sea level. <br> Summit County offers a variety of options for tennis enthusiasts. Tennis is an excellent workout at any altitude but prepare for a match on the court in the same way you would prepare for a hike lots of water and shade from the sun. Many hotels offer access to outdoor and indoor courts, and even those that don't have them on-site often have access to auxiliary courts elsewhere, so be sure to ask. If your accommodations don't provide access, call around both recreation facilities and some condo properties will allow you to use their courts for a fee.
