Remember all stores and bars require ID. You MUST be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol in Colorado. Keep in mind that local supermarkets do sell beer, but it contains less alcohol than beer you buy in the liquor store. Beer in the grocery store is 3.2% alcohol, and beer in the liquor store is usually around 5%. Liquor stores offer beer, wine and liquor and are now open seven days a week including Sundays. If you are in a restaurant in Colorado and you order a bottle of wine and cannot finish it you are allowed, by law, to take it with you. Just tell your server, and they will package the leftover wine so you can take it with you and enjoy at your home, condo or hotel room.
